Allright, i have a 400gig SATA Raid 0 Array on my Media center PC.. and she dident quite work to to fast when i was doing the Setup and etc, but i dident have enough time to look into it, and now i do..

so i gave her a Run today, and this is the numbers that she posted..

now, i dont know about you guys, But this makes me Sick....

What would be causing this?

hardware:
Intel Pentium 4 1.8A @ 2.1ghz
1.5Gigs Pc-2700
2X WD 200gig 7200RPM Hdd's
Asus P4P800-e Deluxe mobo
Windows Media Center Eddition 2005

Anyone know any of the Harddrive Acustic managers?

and please dont link to the Abacus hdd manager, it only runs in windows 95 and 98.

That's normal dude... your using a promise chip, either on PCI card or on the mobo through the PCI bus. Your average seq. read isn't far off being correct, I get ~130mbps but I use twin 10k raptors. This leaves your burst speed, and yes, this is terribly low, reason being, you're being capped by your PCI bus.

Dude, you got a ICHR5 chip on that mobo, why did you use the promise chip? Intel RAID is one of the best, it's linked directly into the southbridge, no PCI bus...

Here's twin raptors on the ICHR5 chip, I use a p4c800e which is almost essentially the same board:

If im not mistaken, that is the only raid that i can use...

wow, i'm 100% wrong, i only thaught that it was possable through the promise..

i'll tear down, and rebuild the arrah through the ICHR5 and post the findings.

allright, now she is back up and running.. i am WAY more impressed with this mofo..

now, this may seem odd, But do you know about any of the Acustic Utility's out there? i wouldent mind pushing this thing a little over 200mbs :)
