Its an AGP card and you're fitting it into an AGP mobo. Simple as that

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

And its not like it's some ancient Slot 1 mobo that only supports AGP 2X. Check if yours works with AGP 8X, it will be better, but if not, I bet the card supports AGP 4X too.

I'm sure it's a AGPx4 mobo. I was looking at this card at overclockers. it's going for £22 and i need something a little better for CS2. I'm going to upgrade soon so i'll need a card i can use with my upgrade as well.

I was thinking something like this
AMD Athlon 64 3000 Retail / Abit UL8 / 512MB GeIL PC3200 CAS2.5 Dual Channel Kit - Bundle (BU-011-OK) , don't really want to spend too much on a PC

If you're going to get new gear you might aswell go PCI-E unless you dont plan on upgrading after that for a very long while.

If you can, try and get 1gb of ram, pretty standard now although people building PC's now soemtimes put in 2gb

Yeah, I’ll be getting 2gig of RAM. I'm not bothered about PCI-E as I don't really want to spend much and I mostly use Macs now.

So, if I buy this card it will run in my current PC (XP2400 AGPx4 mobo still on SDRAM) and I can then move it over to the above mobo when I upgrade?

PS Toxic,

I'm thinking about selling my Canon 75-300 USM and getting this

AF 28-300mm XR Di LD Aspherical Macro IF f3.5-6.3

From what i've seen it's 'almost' as good as some of Canons L range

Its worth the investment.. even if you dont play "That" often.. something might come out that requires a bit more "umph" and youll be stuck with a thumb up your ass.. and since your upgrading, you should go for it :icon25:

I'm paying no more than £22. Is it as cheap as that.

Like I said, I use Macs more now.

Since I have your attention soap. This new mobo I’m getting is SATA and I only have two ATA133 HDs. Will it come with some sort of adapter, or will I have to buy a new HD? And what about my DVD burner and other CD drives? Fucking PCs, load of shite.
