Which laptop to buy?

ok the price thing is the weakest criteria, what i'm really interested in is lightweight, decent (about 3 hours) battery life, a decent video card (Radeon 9000 or better including nVidia equivalents), and small.

I plan to use this as a "student/programmer's" laptop.

I've got two models that look about right

The acer is def the winnner for spec's alone.. but i dont know how that travels..

Check out tomshardware and stuff, you should be able to find information on Acer laptops's and etc.

ffs, newegg. some of the "reviews" there are so idiotic, it's sick:

This laptop far exceeded my expectations for the price. Even after using it for a week or two I have 0 complaints, which is very rare for me. I would recommend this to anyone!

a week or two? you can't remember?

My husband likes his so much, I have to see what all the fuss is about... so ordered a second for me! Excellent buy.

if her husband owns one, why would she have to purchase one to find out "what the fuss is all about"?

btw, i'd go with the ACER.
