Can you think of any current FPSs that aren't set in Europe, Iraq or Vietnam?

Wonder how long until release.

i read somewhere vista will ship with DX10 so farcry2 will be the first game using it. to give you an idea 360 will run DX9+ but who knows what can be added to it later on and what things it's gpu might be able to do with an API update.
sorry no link.

Has to be. You would think Microsoft would have to allow them to use it and if they did it would cost a fortune.

maybe nvidia has some kind of rights to parts of it? it is based on the g70 gpu wich is a dx9 card.

Looks fantastic, a lot of really nice tricks going on there.
HOWEVER, its easy to wow the common people with a low res movie
So i hope there will be a REAL video, not shakey cam, in high res, some time soon
Love those soft particles! About fuckin' time!

Totatly wrong there housewife... the tropical setting had EVERYTHING to do with how much Farcry sold and a winning concept.
Never before in a fps game did you have several islands you could travel to, nor wideopen spaces and crystal clear water with living fishes etc.
On top of that a good story, well made characters, good A.I., and awsome lightning/shadows effects.
Your so wrong...go back to your cs 1.6
