madonna v britney

Post by DRuM »

I'm having a discussion with someone comparing the two bimbos.
I said they're both average, both marketed on sex, and have good songwriters creating songs for the average joe.

He said I can't compare because madonna can actually sing and thats why she's still around now at 40 . That she is self made. He said that britney can't sing, is a 100% marketing puppet, and does all her concerts with a computer enhanced voice because she can't sing live.

And he concluded that britney wouldn't survive the pop business when she also gets to 40. Is he right on all of this? I don't care for either of these singers but is madonna really so much better than britney?

one's a very successful and shrewd businesswoman who's stayed ahead of the game for about 2 decades and the other's a very lucky nomark.

Madonna has lots of songs I like.
Brittany has no songs I like.
On the other hand, I would bang Brittany before Madonna.

That is the only criteria I can judge them on...

I agree with you :)

Here's another music question for you. The executioners 'it's going down'. I saw the video of it, and it's to my ears just rap and rock combined. Is this unique? I'm sure I've heard this sort of thing before. This same person swears I won't find anything else like it. But it's just rap to me. Sounds like a zillion other rap tunes. And didn't ACDC do something similar with the beasty boys?

Linkon Park and Rage against the machine pull it off nicely.

I don't care for either one of them, but IMO Madonna has a shitload more talent. I also agree about Britney not being able to sing. I guess. I mean I don't think I've ever heard her actual voice by itself unenhanced.
