edit - let me clarify. The world of quake, the level design, the "feeling", the character models, the weapon sor server errors and support etc...... that kind of shit not usual tech related problems like hardware incomps

What do you mean? There could be problems even if it was 100% developed and published by id, either way.

q3 had issues when it first was released. i actually can't think of one game that was flawless and never needed a patch later on.

q3 had issues when it hit the shelves dumbos..anyone remember the first duel maps? q3dm5 and q3tourney3?? rofl..

What the hell were they thinking with the item placement of q3dm6? Man, that was like the shittiest map ever before the pro version.

I don't expect any problems. I reckon there will be a few bugs, which they'll patch soon enough, and I'm betting people will be bitching and whining about unanticipated stuff, like weapon differences or their dislike of design and aesthetic elements, but no, I don't foresee any *real* problems.
