yeah nvidia all the way for the DooM 3 engine so far..

D3 ran perfectly fine with my Radeon 9800 SE though, at 1024x786 and medium detail. I used a config for 128 MB videocards that sets overall detail to slightly above medium. At first it didn't run completely smooth, but then i found out i was running at 1280x1024. :icon32:
In the meantime i got me a 9800 Pro that's well overclockable so i'll see how Q4 will run with that.

I'm upgrading to an ASrock 939Dual-SATA2 ULi M1695 + Athlon 64 3000+ Venice soon, which supports AGP and PCIe. :icon31: So i'll be testing Q4 with my Radeon first.

d3 runs fine on my a950 w/ gffx5200 128mb at high detail on 1024

so yeah i'll be getting q4 on this bitch

Yeah D3 ran pretty damn good on my radeon 9200 on medium as well. But I fear an upgrade is going to be well deserved for this one. CPU, ram, vidcard, etc...

nVidia will probably get you 20% higher framerates than a comperable ATi card in Quake 4.
