Hey I used to live by those rules too man so I hear you completely. Even now I'm still not completely attatched to this girl but I could see myself with her for longer than a week which is typical for me.
I'm of the opinion the right thing will fall in my lap with little to no effort. So, keeping that in mind, I do what I want, when I want, and don't chase anyone.

Start the relationship. Surely if she should drop you for that other girl you'd be sad for a few weeks but you'd have a good story to tell in like 2 years after.
Just take the risks and enjoy... Because your other option is: "I don't want you because if you drop me, i'll be sad". Sounds pretty stupid, right?

See that's my problem right there. I'm actualy thinking that OR maybe I should just let her be for awhile and hope she get's bored and comes around. But playing the waiting game sucks
