UK'ers
aye, it's quite an old story, and it is outrageous.
fucking hate animal libbers. as far as i can tell the only thing they do to increase animal rights is find new ways to reduce human rights. maybe when we're all chained up in labs next to the rabbits they'll finally be happy. bunch of deluded wankers.

Fuckers piss me off, there is a case for increased animal rights in many instances, but these people (particularly british animal rights activists) are out their minds.
Couldn't have said it better myself.as far as i can tell the only thing they do to increase animal rights is find new ways to reduce human rights.

Yeah, this was on the news a couple of weeks ago.
I'm on the fence on it, really, because I'm pro animal rights, I'm vegetarian and I try extremely hard not to buy products tested on animals, so it's a victory for me in that part..
But it's utterly fucked up the way that these people go about improving the standards of animal welfare, and in the long run, all they're doing is alienating people and making it harder for the public eye to take what they're saying seriously. That's why I've never been inclined to join an animal rights group. Besides, most of their reasons for vegetarianism conflict with mine, plus the fact I hunt animals and skin/eat them might not go down too well.

They are hardcore, and fucking mad if you ask me. It's funny, because the police have just given up looking for them. It's like they were aloud to get away with it.
John Snow (Channel 4 News) had a member of there political wing on not to long back. He obliterated him when this chap tried to justify the groups actions. Funny viewing and a stark reminder of the British opinion of the group after there little stunt, i.e. everyone hates them now.

I support a ban on chimpanzee medical research, and support increasing rights for certain animals (dolphins, some non-human primates, a squid species I can't recall the name of, etc.) among other things.
That said, I'm generally tolerant of ethical medical research conducted on animals where no other reasonable alternative is available.
I realize this may be old news, has the government acted against these lunatics since the article was written?

aye, hence my point. the government is quite happy to introduce new laws to limit the freedom of animal libbers, especially when those laws can limit the freedom of everyone else as well.Massive Quasars wrote:I realize this may be old news, has the government acted against these lunatics since the article was written?
there are situations where protesting outside someone's house is the best course of action, there are times when vandalism is the best course of action - but thanks to these silly cunts, those avenues are being closed for everyone.
one of the worst things about them (i'll stop myself ranting in a sec) is their ignorance. out of what i guess was masochism, i stopped to talk to the people on the 'save the bunnies' stand in town a few times - and they knew fuck all. the only references they had to back up their sensationalist posters were years out of date or taken out of context.
there are very real issues that need to be dealt with (such as the amount of beagles that are bred and destroyed every year without ever making it to a lab), but they're never going to be addressed with people scaring discussion away from the table.
extreme animal liberation groups are a detriment to their own cause and a menace to society. doombrain's right, the public are sick of them. these days, even the lentil-munching yoghurt-weavers down in brighton want them to fuck off.
tough shit, breed animals for experiments and pay the price.
unfortunatly sending round leaflets and getting people sign petitions doesnt really work, so people have to take more extreme action.
I knew a few people a while back who were involved with some ALF related shit, and i know they saw anyone involved with animal experiments as a fair target.

Your an idiot by association and a penis for your lack of compassion.
Animals are not humans, its all very well to sit there on a moral high horse judging those that are not of the same "moral character" as yourself. But do so by the same "rules" you claim to preach.
No hospitals, No Booze, No Food, No Movies, No Music, No Fast Food, No Medicine, No PrePackaged Food, No Fresh Vegtables, No Cleansing products(although half those hippies would probably like this), No basically nothing not even the computer your sitting at.
EVERYTHING has been tested on animals at some point and just because its convenient for some people to turn a blind eye to the products that "they" use and a harsh tongue and a fist to the products that "we" use doesnt mean that animal activists are "right".
They are pure Hypocrisy rolled up into one big facist fag0t cult/clan/group
There's an argument that animal testing is the only interaction between humans and animals that can actually be ethical, as all of the others are exploitation.
That said, they're not the only nutjobs. Have a look at this:
