Guess i will do this thread in here instead.
I'm not sure whether players who use aliases is a good thing or a bad thing.
On one hand, it makes it look like there's more unique players online (is that a good thing?)
On the other hand, it hinders development of community when many players use a different name every time you play them.

I play as {TNP}Dukie
another dead clan
other names are
60 minute man
Pandora's Box
El Kabong
Smelly Cat
Sponge Worthy
Old Blevins
Chest Rockwell
Tea Bagger
Rocky Racoon
The Oracle
Runaround Sue
but generally I play under the clan name. I think all the aka's fuck up the community. especially when it comes to tournaments. If I log on under an alias I always finish under my old name

I couldn't agree more. Much of the fun (for me) is playing against known peeps.

I hate when people use an obvious alias when they play on the same server all the time (ex: AP Lounge) because I don't know their skill and style of playing, therefore I can't adapt my strategy right away.Foo wrote:I'm not sure whether players who use aliases is a good thing or a bad thing.
