Will Quake 4 cause a significant increase in members at Q3W?

What do you think? Will it become like the 2000 days?

Personally, I seriously doubt that it will become that active, but if the game's good, it will catch on and eventually we might get quite a few new people around here, thanks to Foo's site

Not a chance.

Quake 4 is not oging to do well at retail and even if it does Foos webdomain as much as it pains me to say it isnt going to get as much traffic as an official domain so in terms of people coming here to post.

I say you'll be lucky to get an extra 10 - 15 percent more noobs. Then take 95% percent of those away for people who wont stay longer than a month

It would help if we had a high Google rank for 'quake 4 forum'. But we don't. But, there is a link to this place over at quake4game.com under the community section. Should bring at least a few faces to smash.

I think one advantage Q3W had back when it was new was that the whole community was new.

Right now, Q3W is sort of clique-ish where everybody knows pretty much everyone. As a newcomer, one might feel like the loner in the big group of "friends" (friends in the broad sense of the word).
