I haven't heard any real news floating around, but the Quake4Game site says 'available' on the 18th.

Just checking, because I have a dentist and a doctor's appointment on that day, so I had planned on just taking the day off and picking up the game afterward. :icon32:

All indications point to that.

But it might mean it actually hits shelves on the morning of the 19th.

I wonder if there is any way I can find out for sure. I'm calling a couple local stores right now, but the goobs working there never know what they're talking about, and half the time don't even bother checking the system before telling you what they think is right.

There aren't any good stores around here for buying games, aside from CompUSA, and it's full of idiots. There's an EB Games, but the two guys who work there are useless as well.

CompUSA said they don't have any information on when the game is being released at all. :icon27:

Going to check EB and Best Buy to see.

Okay, EB Games said that their computer system isn't showing a release date anymore, which means the game is probably already on its way to the store. =D

I asked him if they were going to go ahead and put it on the shelves the day it came in, and he said that if id's site said available on the 18th, then they would put it out that day if they had it.

Has there ever been an official release date on this?

I've called my EB Games, BestBuy and CompUSA - none of them even have it in stock yet. BestBuy says the release date is tomorrow. CompUSA says the release is the 19th. EB Games has no clue; they don't even know when they're supposed to start selling it or when they might have it.

Is there any kind of official release date on this game at all? It's a little frustrating having to call all around town without even knowing.

I'm so going to make the walk tomorrow, EBgames, Best buy, Futureshop and such.

Hopefully there's atleast one of those byatches at the stores, though wen't to one another EBgames today near wallmart and the clerk there said it would be on the shelfs on wednesday, uhhu..

The Quake 4 prerelease page is gone at gamestop.com, now it has a page that says " Usually ships in 24 hours". I'm gonna be watching my mailbox. My landlady left me something in a small corrugated box that was almost the size of a videogame, I forgot to breathe for a second, then I opened it and was disappointed.

True, cause i went to 2 different store today in montreal, quebec;

And they both said that they will receive the game Thuesday the 20...the only game that they have receive was F.E.A.R. that sale $59.99 +tax canadian money...
so quake 4 will be around the same price...
