I like it, but I'm looking forward to the mods for the real fun.

I liked Q3 MP when it came out, but I didn't really love it until I played some good mods, so I'm definitely not judging it this early in the game.

I definitely don't like it now ... the really fun is 1v1 ... all these noobs out there getting frags prepaired by other players ... no this ist the same shit as UT ... but i must say is that i didn't play Q4MP for a long time ... I like the look of the maps and the model but its always the same ... a new version of something comes and everybody is nagging and after some time its all forgotten

Anyhow i will wait for CPMA & RA4 ...

the net-code seems kinda iffy. it's unbearable to play with a ping greater than 100.

netcode needs work, especially with non-projectile weapons, some nice mods need to be released, and a few odd bugs need to be removed, and I need a system that gives me 60 FPS constantly, then I'll get back to ya with the thumbs up.

An osp type mod which allows enemy models and skins on all it's servers, get rid of that fucking ' following noob 1, press to change..' sentence across the screen when speccing, show the score of the person you're speccing not just the 1st and 2nd place players, and this game will own. Until then, yes it's fun using the new weapons, getting used to the newer style strafeing, new style jumpads, new sounds, new style maps, but overall the MP experience is only 'ok' right now. But that's just me.

i wanna check out some well played ctf matches. those grenades on bouncepads would make for some excellent flagkills

Never played Q3. I came late to gaming. (I'm old

) But wow the speed and pacing is frigging awesome. FFA is a madhouse. Don't know about the others as I just started MP today, having finished the SP last night. It's a nice change. GG Raven/id.

I have been playing RTCW/ET for over 2 1/2 years and still love it, but I think I have found another favorite.

BTW, I ordered a copy of Q3.

Quake 3 is and will ever be the fastest and best arena shooter ... because its much faster than Q4 and others ... but i'm waiting till there are mods ... while i'm waiting i'll play SP and Q3-CPMA

I just had an hour of some kick-ass ctf.
A few patches and this will be a great game.

I just realy hate the orange and green teams/// its too hard to destinguish teams sometimes.
I liked the bright red and blue team colors of q3.

They OWE us a free map pack though.

But not only in CTF the characters have bad colors ... even in DM a.s.o. the models can badly be seen ... is it possible to switch the colors of the models like in Q3 ?

The game is new and it's great so far. When a competition mod like OSP comes out it will be even better.
