We get a shitty ending like that. Damn that was poor... I mean, REALLY poor... Plus Kanes feet sunk into the ground as he walked away, lol...
Really, what is it with game endings... FEAR's was ok, but damn...
SPOILER: After what seems like a great game...

No, its not. ET:QW is set BEFORE Quake 4 anyways, its set during the first invasion of Earth.riddla wrote:I havent made to the end (I havent even started SP tbh) but did you consider they might be using the end as some sort of segway into ET:QW?
And anyways, its not matter, I'm used to awful endings in games. Only a select few even bother to do something really nice these days

Apart from Donkey Kong Country, they all suck

I didn't find the ending that bad. Ok, it wasn't exactly mindblowing, but it wasn't Halo 2-bad either.
But I have to say that I was a bit disappointed by the visuals in the last Core levels of the game. I was kinda expecting this huge, amazing central core with lots of stuff going on, but instead it was just the same old corridors and rooms as in any other part of the game. Both that level to where you escorted the EMP caravan, and those three towers around the core were more impressive than the core itself. It feels like they either ran out of time or ran out of ideas when designing the Core levels.
This is one area where half-life 2 did it all right - the Citadel levels of the game were fantastic - great visuals there, and it really set the mood and made it different than the rest of the game (the actual end fight in HL2 was kinda meh though).
But all in all - Q4 is a great game, and I enjoyed it immensely.
