I find it too hard to know which weapon I'm holding with weapon model off. It sucks that they put the hud to the left and not centered. So I leave weapon on and have about 100 fov.

Is there a different hud you are talking about? The weapon icons seems to be in the middle for me (it comes up when you pick up a weapon).

Sorry I meant it's to the left not the right, take a look at this.
Good grief, why cap the fov so low? So many of us have been playing with 120 for years! We had to put up with this restriction shit in the name of art with DOOM 3. Should not be that way with Quake.

Word, I used 115-120 in quake3. I feel like quake4 extrudes it a little more, even on 110, more of a fisheye feel.
My fov is set to 105 and for the gun i always play with the gun...
