My Quake 4 mod wish list
I know that there are many threads stating one or two of these alone, but I need to vent and compile a bigger one.
1. Lower mg shooting sound volume
2. Speed up weapon changing a bit
3. Being able to blow up dead bodies
4. Item location on maps changed
5. The "you hit someone" sound is shitty
6. Improve LG range
7. Take out the delay on the gauntlet. It makes those surprise attacks from around the corner a lot more tricky to execute. And change the sound, ugh.
Depending on their current health, models in q3 would scream differently when they get hit. I say bring that back in q4, the way it works now (different you hit sound) is not good.
I'm not going to go into the netcode, or new models for mp, because that's something raven should do.

I agree with what [int] said, plus these:
1. Bring back blue/red teams for TDM/CTF.
2. Promode skins.
3. Allow the user to change the weapon order.
4. OSP-like callvote system.
5. Bring back Forcemodels.
6. Allow sprite items/pickups so it is easier to tell what you've picked up.
7. Some decent maps please.
8. Q3-like footsteps.

dead bodies r that important? r u 11 years old or something?
Freakaloin, It's just something I like to do. It's something I've always done and a lot of pro players do it too.
I agree that it's not really that important, but it adds to the fun factor.
I'm fearing the model part though. I bet OSP or other modding teams can unlock the other q4 models, but those models aren't meant to be used in mp. They're bigger.
Edit: Anyone figured out how to set the timer to count the time properly instead of how much time is left? If not, I add that to my wishlist.

i was suprised i could hit people from as far as you can now. it looks like its even more deadly (or cheap? :P ) as q3s LG

very much. either that or dont show the weaponbar when you pick up a weapon. when i pick up a weapon now, the weapbar shows up with my current weapon highlighted.. confuses me and makes me think i just picked up the weapon i was holding, while instead i should look in the lower left corner to see what i picked upbrisk wrote: 6. In Q3, I have a weird system whereby I use the mousewheel to select the lg and gl by first pressing my rl bind, and then moving the wheel up or down respectively.
It sounds retarded, but i've got it to the point where its just as fast as using a keyboard bind. So yeah, thats why i'd prefer to do that.

So what happens when you scroll the wheel without pressing the LG bind? I just use mwheelup/down for RL and GL respectively...
