I have a remote dedicated server that I use for a business and I want to install Q4 in order to host games for a few friends (restricted access). The server is a P4 2.4 ghz with 1gig RAM running Win2000 Advanced Server SP4. I am about to buy Q4, so I haven't installed it yet on either my server or my local machine. My questions concern how specifically to install it on my server and how I set up games and run them so that my friends can log in without letting others get into the system. Is there a How To installation manual posted somewhere? I see the sample cfg files that are posted on this forum, but I probably need some more direction than this. Does my ded server require a sound/video card? I think a high-end sound/video card is only required for the players, but I wanted to confirm. Thanks for any help!
