Quake 4 mod SDK?

Post by Eraser »

Is it already known when it will be released or is it already released? If so, where can it be downloaded from?

Too bad. We're planning on developing a simple mod.

Give it a month or two. They will need time to get it ready for public release now that the important thing (the game) is out of the way.

I have the feeling they'll release it at the same time as a patch.

Best not to take too long, to retain interest.

I wouldn't say Loki whatever was a shining example that would make anyone want to contract something to you.

Are you kidding? Aside from Threewave for some, Loki's Minions/Revenge CTF has always been the best CTF mod for the Quake series. The speed, the offhand grapple, the sounds. Who doesn't get a pang of nostalgia when they hear Inner Circle's "Bad Boys" (used as a flag capture sound in LMCTF for Quake 2)? It's just a shame LRCTF came out so late in Q3's life, I think.

If either Threewave CTF or Loki's CTF are made for Quake 4 (both with grapples, offhand or not), I'll be a very happy bunny indeed.

Loki's looks impressive but has never been quite able to beat Threewave from the throne IMO.

Not to be negative about the quality of work from the Loki mapping team, but the quality of most of the Threewave maps is so incredible that Loki's maps look rather disappointing in comparison.
