I have started it but soon lost interest after I got sucked up by MP.
Goddamn, Quake 4 MP rules

The tournament mode is brilliant. I'm somewhat amazed by the fact that they made it so that different matches in the same round take place at the same time, which is really cool.

I started it and got to the point where i was sent into some bunker to shut down a gate field?? then when my cd arrived with my key it was bye bye SP hello MP, not touched SP since

Huh? Is it a bit like multi-arena maps in Q3? So four people can play two 1vs1 games on one map at one Q4 server at the same time? :icon28:

yes, except for that there aren't actually different arenas. It's just the same map for all matches that go on.

I guess that it just lets all the clients run around in the same instance of the map but keeps track of entities for each arena instance seperately.

Cool. So that means in theory two 4v4 CTF matches could be done on one server (perhaps on a small/medium sized custom ctf map). Perhaps it requires a mod, but the functionality is there.

It allows for a more efficient use of a server.
