I respect her.

She knows my word is law if I so choose but I only get that privledge because
I don't make demands like "WE GONNNA GROW SOME WEED DOWN IN THE BASEMENT BITCH!".

I get primo weed at discount prices from one of my subordinates so I wouldn't have much to gain anyway.

Oops, no wonder I couldn't track the fucker down. The article I was referring to is by Colin McGinn. Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

It is true that pot doesn't meet the medical definition of addiction. But the treatment for pot is in the same as an addiction.

"addicts" of pot exhibits all the symptoms of addiction. The human brain can come to expect and predict the use of pot. The brain can create symptoms; to encourage its use. Witch is why many addict talk about self metication. Trying to 'mantane' by doing their drug. Like the feeling of edgy ness. It's Having the perception that they can't function normally without pot.

pot addicts talk about not being able to initiate new tasks. They use pot as a coping tool. It's quite a lame tool. It only serves to suppresses feelings and emotions for a short time. With out actually handeling the problems.

At wich point do you call it an addiction. When some one choses pot over social obligations? Pot over going to work. Pot over getting food? Perhaps when it's more important to them then having a baby, or breaking up on their girl friend? Or perhaps after risk being jailed and fined every day for 3 years. With no considerations of the consequences.

btw pot stimulates the brain in many ways similar to sex. And we do know that sex can be addictive.

You know that paragraph is kinda funny cause what would you say when the problem is lazyness and pot makes you not so lazy? Cause like today for instance I was just getting up in the morning and didn't feel like doing anything, basicly I wanted to lay down on the couch and play video games. Instead, I smoked a joint and cleaned the entire house, rented a movie for the girl tonight and went to the liquor store to buy some wine. Had I not smoked any weed I woulda played NFSU2 and went to work then paniced tonight when I get home cause I have to clean the damn place before she get's there!

One of the things that have always made drugs so powerful is their cultural adaptability, their way of acquiring meanings beyond their pharmacology. We think of marijuana, for example, as a drug of lethargy, of disaffection. But in Colombia, the historian David T. Courtwright points out in "Forces of Habit" (Harvard; $24.95), "peasants boast that cannabis helps them to quita el cansancio or reduce fatigue; increase their fuerza and ánimo, force and spirit; and become incansable, tireless." In Germany right after the Second World War, cigarettes briefly and suddenly became the equivalent of crack cocaine. "Up to a point, the majority of the habitual smokers preferred to do without food even under extreme conditions of nutrition rather than to forgo tobacco," according to one account of the period. "Many housewives... bartered fat and sugar for cigarettes." Even a drug as demonized as opium has been seen in a more favorable light. In the eighteen-thirties, Franklin Delano Roosevelt's grandfather Warren Delano II made the family fortune exporting the drug to China, and Delano was able to sugarcoat his activities so plausibly that no one ever accused his grandson of being the scion of a drug lord. And yet, as Bennett Alan Weinberg and Bonnie K. Bealer remind us in their marvellous new book "The World of Caffeine" (Routledge; $27.50), there is no drug quite as effortlessly adaptable as caffeine, the Zelig of chemical stimulants.

I agree with him to be honest. It makes a normaly dull task somewhat entertaining. You can argue that you could have just as easily done it without the influence of drugs but the reality is, it's still DULL. At least when you're high it's amusing. :p

Your just as capable off the durg as you are on the drug. Any perception that you are more capable on the drug is created by your mind to justifying the use of the drug.
You just complained about not being able to insheate tasks with out the use of your drug.

that's not entirely true. Many drugs have performance enhancing effects.
