nah really though, i believe it should be up to the establishment owner to decide
i mean, banning it round restraunts i can agree with, because when im at a restraunt i usually smoke outside anyway because i know the smell of smoke is off putting whilst eating
in pubs and clubs though, erm no... there was a bloke round here that put up a smoking ban in his pub a few yrs back
he had to lift it because it nearly drove him bankrupt

oh btw i should of mentioned this is nothing new in Australia, smoking in clubs has been banned for some time now... only some designated areas in clubs pubs and bars... and at the time i was a smoker, and i can tell you it felt so good to go into a club and be able to breathe in clean air
Anybody who's been smoking since they're a kid isn't going to stop. Anybody who's started smoking after middle school is a fucking idiot who deserves cancer of the throat.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.

I just posted on a local forum about this after another Firkin bar closed "due to the smoking ban"
I call BS. These places just don't know how to make a business model that caters to those without this vice. because they prefer to fish in barrels.
I have nothing against smoking in bars its just that the rights of the non-smoking SHOULD prevail over the so called right to inflict smoke on others.
All that bars should be required to do is designated ,prominantly, whether they are smoking or smoke-free bars and let them build a business model on the clientele they so choose and what other benefits they are going to provide to draw people in.
