Is it bad that I can't imagine having a pub lunch without inhaling smoke with every mouthful? fukin ell I can't wait :)

It'll be nice to be able to get back from a night out and not absolutely reek of other people's fags.

don't get me wrong, i like tobacco - but having seen how effective it's been in ireland, i think a ban's a great idea.

Did it get rid of the Irish?

Probably not effective enough.

My chainsaw is legal, but they don`t want me in bars/clubs with it. Only pubs. Go figure...

it should be the owners decision wether the bar should be able to smoke or not, having someone dictate what a premisis can and cant do is bullshit

Except that it's historically true that non-smokers put up with smokers habits in public places, mainly becuase it's just the way things are.

Businesses are out to maximise profit, and few are willing to exclude smokers becuase this will mean losing their business.

You're just reaching for an argument because you're addicted and don't like the idea of having to abstain while socialising. Why even bother to make lame arguments?

Yeah, it's just 'cus you like to'. I sound like an anti-smoking campaign, which is a shame. But it's so fucking simple you can put it in a few bullet points, and it's airtight.
