Interesting TDM Bug in Quake 4

I remember in Unreal Tournament (1999) there was a similar bug to this. If you suicide, you bring the teams score down by one point. While this is not a problem, per se, if one, say wants one team to loose, they can just come in and 'suicide spam' to get the team score down to like 0 again. I saw this happen on a server today.

Later on, Epic released a patch to UT '99 to fix this issue. Any word if a patch is in the works for Quake 4?

That's not a bug, that's the game...

Otherwise jackasses would kill themselves to keep the other guy from getting a point.

What he means is something to keep a player from suiciding reapeatedly. But ya I have to agree that banning is a good fix for this.
