Dude... that's the last thing I would have running. LOL. I don't even trust the ATI Control pannel to be running in the background, and have disabled that.
I don't even see why they give you a CD-ROM with a mouse - most mice don't need drivers in Win XP.
Only things that run on startup in msconfig are Mixer, avgcc (AVG Control Center), avgemc (AVG), and zlclient (Zone Alarm)

the unlock the force refresh in cpl and use that works for me, as does simply throwing a vid_restart after going full screen again...as far as the 60hz issue...
my problem now is that in CTF i get colors of both teams on my team, and the ONLY way to tell if it's my team or not is to shoot them and see if i get the hit beep. wtf? i kept asking for answers or if anyone else had the problem, but no one would respond to me (at least 10 players on this server just now)...is my chat even working, or are everyone wankers? :/

I think that's how they intended it, but ya it's kinda crazy way to do things, esp for ctf.
Also you can't alt-tab out of the game for some reason. What it should do is minimize the game and take you to the next app or desktop.
I got around the 60Hz problem on windowing by using ATI Tools and locking the refresh to 120.
I guess I'll report the lack of a spectate server button in the server list as a bug, cause otherwise how do you get in a server directly as a spectator?

oh, I got two nasty ones.
a) Demos replace the q4 config or part of it with the config used for the demo. I suppose it is replaced by autoconfig but that doesn't help much most players. You end up with the nick name of the one recording for example:p
b) Most if not all weapons have a delay hard to notice, sth like 10 msecs. It mostly affects the railgun. To test it out - you may still not notice, but some have already confirmed it too - you can rapidly tap once on a q3 railgun and then on q4 and notice a slight delay to fire.
