unable to initialize OpenGL
can anyone help me get it working?

What graphics card do you have, and do you have the latest drivers for it?

but quake 3 works with the driver i already have

start, run, dxdiag should help IIRC
(to give us info not to solve the problem)

CrinklyArse, I don't believe opening up the DirectX configuration window will help an OpenGL problem...:P
If you can list details on what type of card you have, I'm sure we can look up on it and see if it has OpenGL support (which is may or may not) or if it's just a old/bad driver issue.

dxdiag will list details about his card and computer without him having to download anyhting. Therefore it will help.... :icon26:
