If seen people refer to this (or Crouch sliding) more than once now. What the hell is it and how do I do it?

hit 'crouch' (and keep the key down) + forward just before you land

best experienced when landing from a ramp

Can you transfer this move into a strafe jump at the end? I've been trying and I stall as soon as I let go of crouch or hit jump...

You can make sharp turns without losing speed. Lay off the forward key when you land and hit crouch and strafe, while moving your mouse in the direction you want.

Yeah you can keep 100% of your strafe-jumping speed while making a 90-degree (or greater than 90-degree) turn via the crouch slide. I'm glad people have discovered (and mastered) this technique so quickly--we weren't quite sure how long it would take people to figure it out.
