it's the original director so it might be okay. whatever they do i hope they keep to that - avp was capable of killing two franchises at once, be nice to think it didn't succeed.

Just leave it be is what I say.

Predator and Alien were two great series of films, absolute classics that'll stay in my DVD collection for some time. Then AVP came around with that idiot director who didn't research the films enough. Any good Alien and Predator movie fan will tell you AVP is riddled with inconsistencies. Enough damage has been done, I say...

Holy F@cking s@it, no way, ARNOLD was predator 1, predator 2 did shit in the box office. Why is it that evry franchise (movie and video game) are too affraid to make sequals or just end the damn thing with a last great product, instead they keep pushing shitty expansion packs or god aweful prequils.

I saw the second one first and I liked it and then saw the first and it was even better, why do they have to remake all the classics. Come up with something new.

Next thing you know they will remake Terminator, Total Recall & Commando.

prequels aren't too bad imo.

anyway, the question I have is:

WHY?

predator is a perfectly good movie - great sfx, story, soundtrack, etc.

and while avp may be riddled with plot holes, the travesty of it was that it wasn't a true horror movie - it was a popcorn piece of shit - alien and predator both drew u in to a dark world and really disturbed you.

then again, maybe i'm wrong - i never bothered to watch avp but the trailers through me right off.

Completely agree, it's not dated enough for the need to redo it. I think it would be a waste of time.

it's the only thing the people that might be making this film are talking about.

"plush toys, happy meals, box sets, vinyl models, key rings, sticker albums, soundtrack albums, 'inspired by' soundtrack albums, t-shirts, special edition dvds with commentary by the producer's rabbi - and it all needs to be flying off the shelves before anyone realises that all we've done is squish a warm, fresh turd into their hands, again."
