Firefox has made a 2.82 jump since April 2005, 11.51 % of people use it now.
It's a very solid alternative I have been using for a while now, I suggest it. But you might still need ie for certain websites, I also fear more users can mean more exploits.
Also I don't know how I would surf with out adblock.
Considering the number of workstations which will be corporate generic windows boxes, that cuts out a whole ton of units fro m the equation. I guess 'real' firefox usage statistics are up around the 1-in-5 home users level now, which is amazing.
EDIT: Looking at that list, the UK figures are dissapointing.

What's different between them besides the icon?
Mozilla was the predecessor to Firefox. Firefox has some cool features, but there are a changes about it that I don't like. For one thing, when I right click on a tab, I really don't want the "create new tab" to be on top of the list (why would I right click a tab itself if i wanted to create a new one?). Another thing is that its download manager is annoying. You have to use the manager to watch the file's progress, which I don't want to do. If you just click on a download link, it doesn't actually bring up any progress window. So you're left there thinking to yourself "is this actually doing anything?" There are a few other details here and there.

as others have pointed out, these are not an issue.

configure the options in the download manager
ctrl + T for new tab
Download manager: tried that, doesn't work
Ctrl+t: I know this already, but what about when I want to close a tab? 8)

used mozilla for ages, but firefox is pretty nifty these days. worth giving another try depending on how much you use your browser for work. it's brilliant for web dev stuff, and there are tons of extensions that you can modify for custom tasks.
