Yea, well if you bought GOLD version on steam its included, but for the suckers that bought bronze(like me) have to pay extra for it... and only way to get it is through steam... so i wont bother,i think.

its possible I mean recently you probably didnt believe Valve would be so bold and daring as to require online connections and vertifications in order to play a single player game, than they got bolder with 3 different download (via source) game versions of hl2, and now are requiring stuff like dod to be downloaded via steam and payed for.
