Ram question

Without changing my cpu, would just getting more ram, like making it up to 1gb or more, help my framerate in Q4 by much as a short term upgrade? I have 768mb, XP2000+ and 9800pro. Also, can anyone remember the name of the little program that shows you what speed ram you have and it's timings? I think the program had a 3 letter name. I know I have 2 sticks of ram, one is higher speed but its downgraded by a lower speed stick. I think my ram is somewhere between 2100 and 2700.

My guess is it probably won't make any noticeable difference if you've got any decent amount of mem in there already. 768MB's probably fine.
