well there are like 6 different resolutions/ dpi that go by HD. Some are more impressive then others. I totally get it; had a similar experiences with a hd tv. But then I looked at the price. And decided I didn't need to watch in that detail.

i dont know about everyone else buying a whole new tv and paying sky or who ever money for HDtv seem like just another way of getting me to shell out more cash. i dont need a new tv my current TV works fine, i also hear that DVD are changing to HDDVD? or something blueprint.

Again i feel that companys are just trying to get me to spend money on a new dvd player. Like my tv my dvd player works prefectly well.

If it was for the game only, I would rather watch it on HDTV than go to it and watch because my vision isn't perfect and it is clearer on the tv.

Not much point in watching a DVD on HDTV, is there? In that the resolution of the material on the dvd is, what, 720 by something?

you should see a Blu Ray disc on a true HD screen omfg

The first time I saw HD-TV was on a 42" Sony Plasma display, and as soon as the picture came on, I blew an unsuspecting load all over the fucking thing.

The first time I saw HD-TV was a blu-ray disc on a 170 cm 1080i plasma screen...it was just unreal.

Because of the sharpness and the colors it looked 3D, was truly amazing.

I bet a year from now hd tvs will cost 1/2 as much, and end up being twice the size. And by then there will be content for hd tv.
