Data not in sync with server error.

OK, I did the tutorial from OPC forums to get the dedicated server and you able to join it. After all the commands and spawnserver, when I try to connect it just says "Data not in sync with server.". Help appreciated, thanks.

You need to be more specific about how you started the server and what you are trying to accomplish. For example, are your trying to run a mod? What commands did you issue for start up? Were there any error messages in the server logs, etc.?

I doubt that I can help you, but there probably is someone here who can with more info. You might also want to check the Server Admin faq Foo put up on http://www.quake4world.com.

The server is set to si_pure 0 and you have differing files. Setting the server to pure or getting rid of new files on either the server or your install will probably fix the problem. You'd think pure 0 would let you have whatever files you want but for some reason it breaks it.
