CoD2 is pissing me off now. If i try to load a level, 90% of the time it will fail, dropping me to desktop wit ha "directX error", telling me to check if i have the latest drivers. I do. Latest DX, latest video and latest sound card.
The only way aroudn this, is to drop the DX level down to 7 in the menu, but this causes the game to be ugly. I didn't pay money for my rig to play games on "ugly mode".
Its driving me nuts, because nothing else has ever given me a DX error, and now all of a sudden, CoD2 comes along and tells me I'm in the wrong, even though everything on the checklist they give me is fine.
. What do I do if the "DirectX Error DirectX has encountered an unrecoverable error. Please check DirectX Help document for possible details." error appears when I attempt to run Call of Duty 2?
