Problem with nick.

So.. I've written my nickname in the config, with all the color-combination and shit, but when I enter a mp-game , it's suddenly changes to an IP#, so.. I quit the game, redo the name in the q4config and create an own server to see if it's fixed. And it is.

BUT! Then next time I'm going to play mp, the fu**ing IP is there again. Anyone else who have this problem?

make a c/p of the command just like u wrote it into your config.

What's a "c/p"? Im having this problem to. Have to bring the console down and change name when I join a server. Sure I can make a simple bind to change name with a single key but I would rather like to solve it.

Thats an odd problem btw.
Why not?

Create autoexec.cfg with your nick?

or make a seperate .cfg and bind a button
bind X exec xXx.cfg

Have you checked the q4config file to make sure it isn't storing your old nick in there?

I only have the 'problem' that my name changes to the one of the person who recorded the last demo that i played. :icon32: Silly bug...
