it's completely awesome...but are the pings it's showing yours to the server, or IT'S to the server? and how can you join a server from there? just have to copy/paste the ip into the game?

Unfortunately those are server side ping times, not your own. There's not much you can do about that unless you download q4mon and run it on your own web server.

re: joining a server. I was "hoping" that I could take advantage of some q4 supported game launcher if one ever surfaced. I've never actually used a game launcher before, but correct me if I'm wrong that some launchers launch a game simply by clicking an href ie: q4://somehost:28004. If anyone knows of any q4 launchers which would do this please let me know and I'll implement it into the browser asap.

HLSW is another good web based Quake4 server browser with an external launcher program.

Example: Search for populated CTF Servers

If you can't sort by country then its totally useless. Especially when ping is fake.

btw, it's been available to download for quite some time now (look up at the first sticky in this forum *cough*).

Ok, so I just added the ability to sort by country. There's also a join server button now. Currently the only compatible game launcher is hlsw, I'll add more if/whenever possible. Thanks for pointing it out Requ!em. You'll see your 'real' ping time once hlsw launches, so that's pretty handy.

Might be buggy, I've just finished it about 5 min ago and haven't had much time to test it out.

A country filter wasn't added, just a 'sort by'. There is a filter now though.

slackX maybe u can add the country flags next to the lock. I know it shows when you drag the cursor over the name of the server but it would be nice to see it in the front page.

I didn’t want to clutter the results table because simple is so much easier. But I see your point; it is better that way. It’s now updated with these changes, but you may need to refresh your browser to flush out the old stylesheet. Btw, I came across 2 more launchers that parse url strings and have added them both in the launch selection menu - Qtracker and kquery.

– very nice and well written. Use this one to have your q4 connect instantly after pushing the join server button.
