Well to me a display's primary function is to give the user (visual) access to the database, and a (visual) interface to interact with it (i.e. choose a song, program a playlist)+JuggerNaut+ wrote:it is for me. i also like to have a display.
But if someone didn't care about these things (and they're important for the way I would use an mp3 player), a display wouldn't be worth much more than a gimmick.]
and ffs seza...

I also say the shuffle. The point of the shuffle is that it intagrates with itunes. I dont know about your friend, but podcasting is a must for me anymore. There is so much to listen to, i need the seemless intigration of it. It auto downloads my 20 or so podcasts when a new one comes out and i update and go. Its all structured in the music list so the podcasts dont mix with the music so i dont have to skip past things.
I know its more expensive, but truly its a superior product to any mp3player out there. Not hardware wise, but because its a seemless intigration with a new and very effective media distrobution system. A system i think your going to see really explode in the next year or 2 and apple is the front runner right now and is doing a good enough job that i cant see anyone else coming up with something better.

so that's the "point" of the nano, ipod, and photo as well? the "point" of the shuffle was for Apple to shut the people's mouths who were bitching about forking out $300 (US) for a DAP, not because "it integrates with i-tunes"
and you make it sound like podcasts can only be listened to with a Shuffle or Apple DAP? you're clouding those minds that don't know better.

It does of course just play back the audio in said files. Remember, ASF is just a streaming format, and doesn't need any video data at all. A lot of online radio shows for example use this format.[xeno]Julios wrote:tx have forwarded him the link. It plays movies too? I don't think he wants to shell out extra cash for that. (reason i'm asking is that it suppots asf files)brisk wrote:http://www.mpio.com/product/productview_fy500.html
I can recommend this.
