I'm simply expressing the fact that Nologic is and was being a total twat about providing free help like he's some gift to this planet. Are you or are you not a novice at scripting?

Its a simple question..and its NOT belittling any one to be a novice at some thing. I'm a novice at auto repair...and frankly I see no reason to be upset over the fact...I am a novice in that area simple as that...but I don't go around calling people names because they know a certain subject better than I do.

As for console scripting...by all means find some one better than I...and no I'm not talking shit...I really would like to see some one, so that I can see and learn some thing new.

How ever what I said about your scripting style should have been rephrased.

Instead of "I hate novice coding style" I should have said "I hate ignorant simpletons" ah yes much better...and now I'm being a twat as you say.

I still stand by what I said tho...if people can not read what you have posted...they can't help you...simple enough...at least I hope it would be?!??!

I mean how many people viewed this topic before you got an answer? Hell I couldn't answer till I recoded what you had to where it was humanly readable.

Tho I did get the expected reply back, when one takes in to consideration the subject matter of your script. One can tell that good sportsmanship & respect for others is high on your list.

No I understood and I gave him his answer...a working script, which I have removed...not much to it really...a simple and I do mean simple cycle script thats been done since Q1...and frankly hard to imagine some one botching such a thing...but he did manage to do it.

Hey asshat, the script works fine in Q3. I'm sure most of the forum can vouch for that fact since I personally spammed the majority of them with it in Q3. I never bought Doom3 so I haven' t personally dealt with all the ua_ shit everyone else went through.

As for console scripting, alot of console-type scripting is different on alot of games so different syntax is very common. Being the pro you are, I'm sure you already know this.

So, I guess if you want to say I'm an amateur at D3/Q4 console scripting, then yes, I am.

I started out asking for help but instead of simply putting "oh, this is where you messed up and this is how you fix it" you had to put in comments bashing how shitty the code is.

The script also works fine in Q4 with the simple addition of ua_ like you where doing.

ua_ wasn't in D3 at least not that I'm aware of.

Syntax really doesn't change between the Quake games...just some features are added or removed...depending.

Actually no I wasn't looking for you to admit to any thing...till things went south.

Frankly you got the reply that you did, because of the contents of your script.

I only posted because so many seemed to be stumped as to how to help you...tho maybe they where just playing dumb so that you wouldn't have such a script to spam the server with.

So in truth...I was less looking to help you out than I was to help others.

Had your script contained nearly any thing but what it did...the replay you got would have been different.

So I admit to being some what rough, but you have only gone to great lengths to prove that I was right in doing so.

LMAO if you are concerned about the deletion of that script...you appearntly have no clue as to what I have deleted prior.

hehe that script is crap, and what is shown in it...is well nothing really. hehe
