Is the game ever gonna take off? Players and servers are getting less by the day:(

was avergaging about 80 - 120 all day - sub 100 ping servers was about 60 ish min

I got that figure using ase with no locked servers and -100 ping. I see some americans coming to euro servers, things muct be bad there too at times.

Im only getting 16 duel severs and 32 DM servers now, there was a lot more when the game came out =(

I really like it so I can only hope q4max gets used more and some new official maps come out soon.

well, it's thanksgiving break here in the US so most colleges have let out for the week...

edit: also, i think alot of it can be attributed to people, like myself, going from 300+fps in timedemo for q3 to 30+fps w/q4. i like the game, but i can pretty much only play 1v1 or 2v2 on tmp maps. the default maps drop down to the mid-teens with 4v4 action and even in some of the fps/tmp maps.

ASE sucks with Q4. Use something else if you want to find more Q4 servers.

Q4 maps run like crap, if it wasn't for the fps maps, I wouldn't be playign either

Yah, problem seems that the main target for this game (Quake 3 players) have been playing the same game for the better part of the decade so they didn't really need to make such an upgrade till this game came out. 2/3s of the people that want to play the game, can't due to hardware issues. It'll get better w/ time when peeps start upgrading and some fixes start happening.

So thanks for the tip.

I have mates that dont like it either but its actually rather good when you get used to it. There are probelms with it, and for the most part you would think they were trying to make the game bad on purpose, but maybe they will be fixed with a patch later.

If ever a game needed new maps, its q4...
