need help with specs

hi i have a radeon x300 se saphire 256 mb
and i'm having fps issues i lowered graphics and used tweaks from;

but i still have around 25-40 fps max
i'm thinking about buying a; saphire x800 GTO pci-e for 240 $
i'd like to know if i'd get 60 fps steady with that card before i buy it
here's my specs;
cpu; intel prescott 3.0 ghz
1024 mb ddr2 533 memory 240 pin
hard drive maxtor 160 gb
all pci express

i'm not to familiar with pc's.

i dont intend to put graphics to high with new card either
to much candy kills my aim

if quake4 is your game go for the nvidia 6800gs. overclocks good as well.
