I have a few questions, because I do not own an xbox 360, nor do I wish to, but the idea of quake with a usb controller intrigues me. I played q2 on the nintendo 64 for quite a while and found that the controls were no where near those of a mouse and keyboard. My first question is: how are the controls set up? Forward back and strafing on the left joystick, view on the right? What are all the other buttons? I am wondering if it is at all possible to strafejump with a controller, possibly with jump as a shoulder button? Has anyone mastered this yet?
My next question is: Do box players play on the servers with pc players? AND is autodownloading enabled for xbox? If so, isn't it assumable that they will be playing the maps of our q3w leveldesigners? And finally: To you mappers, does this prospect make you feel an extra sense of credability for your maps?
$2,000 computer that will be obsolete in 2 years vs a 400 dollar computer-in-a-box that will provide gaming for at least another 3 and a half years. I also don't doubt q4 for x360 selling more units then pc, what with xmas coming and junk.
