Heya CG, haven't seen you in a long time. We ended up having to move this off of the UBB due to exploits in it so we ended up going with what IGN recommended which is phpbb. Turb pretty much got this place looking just like the UBB layout.CaliGirl wrote:Hey! I like what you peeps did to the forum, its a very nice Quake 4 skin. And when oh when did you upgrade from the ubb forum? Talk about very crisp.
I still can't believe all of you guys are still here! My gosh, it brings back some memories.
Are any of you playing Quake 4 actively, or are you just keeping in touch with your Quake 3 peeps?

Pooinyourmouth: heh, I dont think we met unless you used another alias with that one.
zewulf: Yeah, it seems like I stop by once every year or something to say hi. Its not on purpose, I just always end up getting busy and then I forget. I do the same thing to my buds at Unrealplayground.com.
obsidian: I definitely recall your name from somewhere, but for some reason I want to connect you as a mapper or modder? Nice to see you again. The merge of Gamespy and Mplayer happened in spring of 2001, so I stayed with them for about 6 months to bury all of the sites. Although Quake3world.com was on my list at the time to keep going. I pushed pretty hard, requesting for the q3w forums not to be merged with forumplanet's forums for Planetquake at the time. If it wasn't me requesting to keep q3w going, it was id Software requesting as well. Either way, I am glad its still breathing to this day.
dzjepp: Nice to meet you.
raw: Very cool. I guess Turb also merged all of the users that were from the original ubb as well huh? I had a feeling he did since it says GMT time stamps, and before we had it as PST. It looks really nice!
bloodangel: Sorry to hear that. Once the merge happened, a lot of things were moved around. Sure, it was in the posession of our contest/community coordinators library of games at the time, but when things got moved I have no idea where those games went to. Hey! That doesnt mean you couldnt win something from where I work at to this day though! We are giving away newegg gift certificates to the top 4 finalists of our quake 4 tournament that will be held next week. Check out Seismic Showdown webpage for further details.
