CaliGirl roams the Q3W halls for old times sake...
Grandpa Stu: I definitely remember your alias as well. Maybe you didnt want to talk to me at the time since I was the director of the site for those years.
circa 2000: Yeah! Totally remember that alias. Nice to see you again.
raw: Turb knows his stuff, I still can't believe how he was able to convert the ubb to allow everyone to have their own avatars . Back then it was only coded for dare I say... Q3W Officials? Does that ring a bell?
chiQ: I defiintely would be up to see how you've been these days.
Don Carlos: Now there's a guy I COULD have met at Qcons!
Eraser: Teehee, it was Xian, here's that old archive btw. Some broken links but the contents there. lol

Dark Metal: you were gone for a long time there! I would email you and it would bounce. Glad to see you're still around.
TO ALL: I guess I have a question to you all of you then. Have any of you made it to Quakecons the past few years? I am really curious who I didnt get a chance to meet in person yet there!

Yup, that's me then, though you probably left before I joined here, so you must have met/heard of me from somewhere else then. I must be famous. :icon1:CaliGirl wrote:obsidian: I definitely recall your name from somewhere, but for some reason I want to connect you as a mapper or modder? Nice to see you again. The merge of Gamespy and Mplayer happened in spring of 2001, so I stayed with them for about 6 months to bury all of the sites. Although Quake3world.com was on my list at the time to keep going. I pushed pretty hard, requesting for the q3w forums not to be merged with forumplanet's forums for Planetquake at the time. If it wasn't me requesting to keep q3w going, it was id Software requesting as well. Either way, I am glad its still breathing to this day.
Johnny Law and Unitool are posting on LEM. Feels like 1999!

MKJ: You're definitely missing out. Its one of a kind but most of all it doesnt require an admission to get in, and in some cases free food is offered during at least once a day. That's hard to beat.
obsidian: hmm! Yeah, I totally have the mapper or modder image labeled on you.
So, what maps did you make, or did Quake3world.com ever have you in the map of the week feature at one point? Either way, I recall your alias, and maybe it was from another site I saw you at but I am certain I posted news about a file of yours at quake3world at one point or another.
Doombrain: Hey Doombrain, my oh my have your posts grown!
Fury: I definitely recall that alias. And, I saw in a previous post you started you were 15 when you first started coming here. Very cool. You sound like a workaholic these days though. As for Guildhall, its very popular in Texas (as well as online). I heard about the most from friends that were going to the Art Institutes out there. But, I am sorry I didnt get a chance to meet you in person the qcon you showed up. This coming year I'll have to bug all of you who may attend from these forums, to ask for a meeting point at a certain time! That would rock.
inolen: Well, if you go next year, let me know! Or at least stop by the Quakecon.org forums and post for a time/day for all Q3W forumers to meet up at one point. That would make my day. I have been running msquakecon the past few years at quakecon. I think out of the all the Q3W peeps, I see orio the most at events like E3 and Quakecons. I also see Cyric each year at Quakecons.
Saturn: What ever happened to your cool signature images?
Coriolis: hey you.
Nah, I send EvilAvatar news from time to time though. He probably just publishes it, and keeps my name on there.

Cali: How can you miss Orio power walking by in his Stanford sweatshirt

aye, but the 14hr plane trip + hotelexpenses + BYOC costs are quite the factor, innitCaliGirl wrote:MKJ: You're definitely missing out.
