dark screenshots

what would be causing this? my desktop gamma is much much brighter when i play q4 but is always returned to normal when i quit. i'm guessing this how the game would look with gamma set to match in game. is it simply r_gamma that's doing this? seems like r_ignorehwgamma from q3...

maybe its the light detail level command thats making it look dark.

Did you use someones cfg? Looks like r_lightdetaillevel commands have been altered.

just crank your gamma up and be happy with the newfound fps

must be r_light 9

gamma's high enough as it is. more interseted in knowing what it is. hope that gets sorted.

its not r_light... at all. tooka couple screens with it normal and they came out just as dark...

so nobody is having issues with dark screenshots i take it? one of the q4max screens i posted in the q4max thread was rather dark so it is happening to other people.

also increasing gamma/brightness did nothing, just as dark as this initial screen.

Yea, i'm getting dark screenies too. Had to crank up the gamma in PS.
