The beta will probably go free within 2 weeks... but you guys that have an account... how is it? :icon31:

there is a free account you can make, you just have to wait in line to dl stuff.

No, the FEAR beta requires a paid subscription. A free account will not work.

FEAR looks amazing, and there its one of those "Must have" games for me...

But...

I've talked to a few people, and they say the MP test is really pants...

That said, it IS just the MP test, so lets hope the SP final is as good as it looks in the videos.

Isn't it up on some FTP already? I know you need to pay FP, which, lets face it, isn't going to happen. But somebody must of uploaded it

I can disable ads and download on fast servers but I can't download the stupid beta? Whats up with that?

Someone else did.

I found the account on dc++ someone shared there txt file and I've been using it to download on fast servers for the last 5 months.

I'll post a review on my blog with screenshots after I play this game, I'm 7% done and 1:04 remaining. Also you can't make multiple keys on fileplanet, which sucks cause i could of given some out.

It fucking sucks when this happens... My rig is fine to play a BETA of that game, so why do FP have to get exclusive rights to it? FP fucking sucks...

Just tried it, damn it's sweet as hell and all sorts of cool effects. I can run it fine on 640x480 and med details, I need to get fraps to take some screenshots, no screenshot key in the game. I'll post some more info and screens later on. Maybe a video of the rendering test, which is pretty sweet.

You need a key aswell.. one key per FP account.

I can run it fine on 1024x768 and High settings, however I do get slow downs with explosions. I guess you can compare this game to be between Half-Life2 & Doom3. All these screenshots are taken 1024x768 and High settings, I think you can go higher then High, because I did have soft shadows and a bunch of other things disabled. I think for my sake it's better to run it on 800x600 and medium or even 1024x768 and medium.

My computer specs:

P4 1.6 Ghz
Power Color 9700 Pro 128Mb
768 DDR RAM
SyncMaster 753DF
DSL with a D-Link DI-704 Router

I'm uploading roughly 60 screenshots of me just playing around in my own server with out anyone. I tried playing with a few people before this and the game was a lot of fun, I didn't have fraps then so I couldn't take any screens.
