Errr, i see nothing that says otherwise, i allready read the review on both anandtech and toms saying that you need X1000 series GPU's installed for the program to work, NOT that it WONT work without them, its just scripted to check for them. thats all.
You mean 'fanboys'. Anyway, my 9800 pro will retire now that i've ordered a 6800 GS for 191 euros. If it weren't for the higher performance of the D3 engine (and overall with opengl) with nV cards, i'd probably have bought an X800 XL.
If the display device is disconnected from the DVI port, and then reconnected as is done when switching video sources, upon reconnecting to the DVI port the screen is black. The computer has to be rebooted, or put in standby and out, for the video to come back. It's been a problem that was introduced in Catalyst 5.7 and hasn't been fixed in any version since then.
This has been discussed many times in this forum and elsewhere on the net. ATI is aware of it, but in the overall scheme of driver bugs, this is relatively minor and hence is low on the pecking order.
lol, why are they switching in the first place, Add the DVI as a second monitor and leave it there..
