40-Year-Old Virgin

I found it boring and disappointing.

Serenity 9/10 Fucking great film, all around.

The Brothers Grimm ?/10 Errm, I guess it was OK if you don't look for things like acting and those other "movie" things. It was entertaining, but weird. I give it decent marks for originality, but somewhat weak execution. I wanted to slap Matt Damon after watching this.

People have been telling me that Serenity was really good, but after I watched I thought it was alright but nothing special. Is it because you watched the series before hand? Because I haven't seen it.

I never saw the series. I just love a well done sci-fi movie.

did you see the version where the lead female character has a nasty hedge-maze of a bush? I think 1984's been made two or three times

That was the UK version with John Hurt.
I never forget a bush.

I just watched Four Brothers and Serenity.

Four Brothers was alright for what it was - a predictable revenge story. 7/10 (again, that is ranking it in the category of relatively simple movies).

Serenity - 5/10. Wasn't as impressed as others I've talked to about this.

well tbh, the directing left alot to be desired. poor casting. the movie relied on the "cute" factor of the kids, but the little jerks had no emotion what so ever, no character building at all.

the cgi was shocking. for example the kids are riding the lion while it is sprinting. the lions mane is waving and it is pretty well animated i thought. yet their hair and clothes aint moving.

to me it felt like the studio called the director and said "see how well lotr did, we want you to make an 'epic'." they tried so hard but imo failed so miserably.

when i saw the trailer i didnt think it was going to be anything special, but i went along with my nephew and seen it.

the whole movie was a constant dribble, poorly edited, badly chosen musical scores at most innapropriate times and i felt it had the worst battle scene history.
