[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.

It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.

I am now sick.

Sound advice. Futureshop carries the same hardware as any other vendor.

you should recommend another retailer if you're going to make statements like that.

i buy the odd item from futureshop. i do usually buy from ncix online but the gift certificate is from futureshop so ncix may have issues with that.

Ncix is a little expensive, give tigerdirect.ca or canadacomputers.com a try :)

I've heard that the LG's are pretty good but i have a Pioneer 108 which has never let me down. As I only have experience with a Pioneer dvd RW drive im partial to reccomend a drive from them.

Retail boxes come bundled with software worth a fair bit of cash.

His post? Yeah, I think the second version is much more descriptive than the original.

I know they're not on that list, but I've always been pretty partial to Lite-on. Never had a problem with any of them. Had a cd/rw, dvd/rw, and now a dual layer dvd/rw. Not a stutter from any of them.

I have LG's as well as an NEC. Both are good writers and have never had problems. The LG does the most different kinds of formats including DVD-RAM while many other writers won't. I've found the NEC (for whatever reason) to rip MP3's faster than the LG's.
