My friend attempted to install Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, though after the installation when he tried to run the game he got this:

I think it's a video card issue but i really have no idea

"could not set the given mode (3)" means it couldn't set 640x480, I think.
What graphics card does he have? Latest drivers?

Could you perhaps tell me what the latest drivers would be?

It means his card doesn't support OpenGL. He can't play the game in other words.

pop to the nvidia website and grab the latest detonator drivers from there. They work for all geforce cards I think.
That card does support OpenGL.

Yes it does. I had one and it played ET just fine.

Had the same problem, win-xp has a hard time running open-gl @ 640*480 fullscreen.
So shortly after starting ET press alt-enter or manualy edit the config file to not allow fullscreen.
Then ingame set the resolution to at least 800*600. after that you can run fullscreen again

You need older forceware for some old cards.
