After the Strogg Medical Facilities

Post by Fender »

I got q4 for x-mas and I'm slowly making my way through the SP game a couple of hours a week.

I just made it to the area where the not-very-secret-thing-happens to you. After that I'm having a huge time running out of ammo. Anyone else have this problem in this area? I don't think I've mis-managed it or been a completely awful shot, I'm just out.

Nope. In fact, I found 90% of the time i was walking over ammo and not needing it at all :paranoid:

Hmmm... I might have to back a couple of saved games then. Before this stage I was leaving MG clips on the ground all over the place.

IIRC I've got similar problem as Fender. But it didn't last long, one or two levels after stroggification. It must be this 10% of the game where you need any ammo box.

You've got that in so many FPS games, a time when you get captured by the enemy or smthg and you escape, having to pick up all weapons again...

I don't mean a lack of weapons, I mean a lack of ammo for them.
Not a big problem, just wanted to say that I've noticed it too.

Well, I restarted at the last checkpoint and was much more careful. I made it through fine this time. Maybe I had a couple beers the first time through and was an awful shot.

i was surprised the MG had so much grunt tbh. just played through the (very short) demo. not bad. better than D3, but still not a patch on HL2 :( ran out of nailgun ammo x2
