Re: just realized...
Which mod? I'm positive it doesn't do anything here in VQ4. When i move my mouse sideways when zooming with or without crouching, the movement is the same every time.jayP.lq wrote:...if I zoom and crouch at the same time its almost like lowering your sensativity in zoomed mode :icon32:

jayP - try quantifying this difference.
Measure how many inches you need to move your mouse along a horizontal line on your mousepad in order to do two full 360's.
Then do it while crouched.
(alternatively, see how many turns you do if you move mouse from one end of mousepad to the other, and compare when crouched.)
What's the difference, if any, in inches?
Also, is there a cl_showmouserate command in quake4?
I'm willing to bet it's a visual illusion.

well, for some reason my x-hair is missing so I cant go through julios suggested method of measureing what I'm talking about. Dont quite know why its missing...but it is :\
I did go into Q4 however, and try to see if there is any actual sensitivity drop with crouch. I have to say it doest look like it,...but somehow the mouse just "feels" steadier.
perhaps it isnt the sensitivity, maybe its just that crouching close to the ground feels more stable relative to standing because you can see the ground more when your aiming with zoom.
The few times I use zoom I always crouch now, just because it feels steadier, maybe its an illusion, but it seems to help in my experiance.
Jester, I have my crouch bound to mouse2 and zoom bound to ctrl. Mainly because I find crouch-slideing easier with crouch bound to my mouse :icon32:
